Office 365 Tutorials

If you’re looking for some free Microsoft 365 Tutorials for Microsoft 365, the free Microsoft 365 Training Center for all Microsoft 365 Applications is a great resource especially if you don’t use a product yet but would like to find out more about it.

While there are many free video tutorials available these days, it’s nice to find some that don’t bombard you with ads all the time and that’s what I like about these tutorials from Microsoft. These courses are freely available and can be found alongside the hundreds of courses and videos in the Microsoft 365 Training Center that covers all major Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, OneNote and even OneDrive.  Training is available for all major releases on Windows, Mac, iphone and ipad.  It’s also possible to get training for past versions of Office if so desired.

The Microsoft 365 Training Center is loaded with free resources including video tutorials for learning the basics of Microsoft 365, Training Templates, Quick Starts and Tips.

A good place to start learning Microsoft 365 is with the Microsoft 365 Basics Video Training. This video training series is loaded with videos teaching you everything from what exactly is Microsoft 365 to saving your files in the cloud. It covers the difference with working with the software on your desktop to working on the web, sharing and collaborating, Microsoft Teams and using OneDrive.

Excel 365 Tutorials -Many times we’re asked the question of how to create formulas and use built-in functions in Excel and this is answered in the “Overview of Formulas in Excel” video which is part of the Excel Video Training that consists of over 80 videos that covers everything from creating a new workbook, working with rows and columns, formulas and functions, tables, charts, pivot tables, sharing workbooks and linked data types.

Word 365 Tutorials – In the Word for Windows Training,  which consists of over 50 separate videos, you’ll learn how to enter and create a document, add and edit text, insert hyperlinks, create bulleted lists, use styles and themes, change margins, create columns, add headers and footers, add page borders, insert tables, pictures and WordArt and save and print your documents. The tutorials also demonstrate how to share your documents and track changes.

PowerPoint 365 Tutorials – In the PowerPoint for Windows Training, students can learn how to create a presentation, how to add and format text, apply slide layouts, work with themes, insert WordArt, insert pictures and graphics, add animation, video and audio and run the slideshow.

Other training that is worth noting for improving your office skills is the Outlook Training. In this video series, you can learn how to set up Outlook, create and send emails, create a signature and send and receive attachments, organize your inbox, add, import and export contacts and use the calendar to create appointments and meetings as well as share and import calendars. They also have separate videos for working with Outlook on the MAC.

OneDrive 365 Tutorials – The OneDrive Video Training is particularly useful is you want or need to work with OneDrive which comes with all the Microsoft Office 365 Software subscriptions. This OneDrive video training covers Getting Started with OneDrive and OneDrive basics, creating files and folders in the cloud, deleting and restoring files, sharing and syncing files and folders and managing your disk space.

OneDrive 365 TutorialsOneNote Video Training – NoteBook is a digital notebook that allows you to take and format notes, draw and sketch, stay organize and share and sync. The OneNote video training covers all these features including how to take notes on mobile devices.

Access 365 Tutorials – The Access Video Training is for advanced users of Microsoft 365 might enjoy some free Training. The Intro to Access covers the getting started with databases and database objects. How to create an Access database, adding tables and using relationships is also covered. These in-depth tutorials also cover performing queries and creating forms, reports and charts.

Office for the Web Training

For those who prefer to work online at office.com, Microsoft has created a series of videos that cover Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook:

Word for the Web Training: The Word for the Web video series consists of 5 videos that cover Getting Started with Word on office.com, changing documents layouts, inserting tables and pictures, collaborating online and other cool things in Word for the Web.

Excel for the Web Training: The Excel for the Web video series consists of 7 videos that covers how to create formulas, insert pivot tables, conditional formatting, flash fill, analyzing data and collaborating with others.

PowerPoint for the Web Training: The PowerPoint for the Web video series consists of 6 videos that covers everything you need to know to make a great presentation online including designing slides, inserting pictures, shapes, animations and transitions, collaborating and presenting.

Outlook for the Web Training: The Outlook for the Web Training teaches you everything you need to know to work in Outlook online including how to create and reply to emails, organize your inbox, create a signature and automatic reply, schedule an appointment, create and edit a contact and how to search for emails, contacts and events.

Free Microsoft 365 Tutorials from GCF Learn

Another website that provides high quality free Microsoft 2019 and 365 Tutorials is GCF learn The GCFLearnFree.org program helps people around the world learn essential 21st century skills such as Microsoft Office. There lessons include text and videos tutorials and they even provide a link directly to their YouTube Playlist where you can access all the videos in one place for each App. Students can gain essential skills in Office 2019 and 365, including Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Here are just some of the free training available from GCF Learn.
