Free Office 2013 Quick Start Guides

Microsoft Office 2013 User Interface looks quite a bit different from previous versions of Office so Microsoft has created Quick Start Guides for all the office applications to help you minimize the learning curve.

Depending on the application, the guides typically include:

  • Screenshots to help you find your way around
  • Useful tips on how to get started with your application
  • Shortcuts and how to get help
  • Changes in the Ribbon and how to create custom Ribbon tabs and groups
  • Where on the Ribbon to find common tools and commands
  • How to add frequently used commands to the Quick Access Toolbar
  • How to save your Word and Excel files in different  or prior versions
  • Advanced features and how to enable certain add-ins that come with each application
  • Saving documents to the cloud and signing onto Office.
  • And much much more…..

ppquickstartguideYou’ll find these guides particularly useful if you’re new to Office 2013 or upgrading from a prior version.  You can download and print any of the free Quick Start Guides.  Also, if you’re using Windows 8, you can open and view these guides in the Windows 8 Reader app without any additional steps. On older versions of Windows, you’ll need to install the free Adobe Reader before you can open and view these guides.

Here are the links directly to the PDFs for the most common Office applications.  Use them to help you while working on your Office Skills projects.  Enjoy!
